چکیده

The initial oxidation stages of copper and copper-iron alloys have been studied by the AtomProbe Field Ion Microscope (AP-FIM). The depth profiles of copper oxide formed in-situ were successfully determined. The composition of the oxide was close to the value of Cu20, but a large concentration fluctuation was found. The interface between the oxide and the metal was found to be diffuse, the width of which was approximately 2 nm. Annealing the supersaturated Cu-1.2at%Fe alloy tip in-situ a t 1000 K in UHV caused enrichment of the surface in iron atoms due to heterogeneous precipitation. No indication of surface segregation was found in Cu-O.OGat%Fe or aged Cu-1.2at%Fe alloys. In-situ oxidation of the supersaturated Cu-l.2at%Fe alloy led to the formation of both external and internal oxides of iron.

Comparison of Copper Dissolution in Chalcopyrite Concentrate Bioleaching with Acidianus Brierleyi in Different Initial pH Values

Although bioleaching of chalcopyrite by thermophilic microorganisms enhances the rate of copper recovery, a high temperature accelerates iron precipitation as jarosite, which can bring many operational problems in the industrial processes. In this research work, the bioleaching of chalcopyrite concentrate by the thermophilic Acidianus brierleyi was studied, and the microbial grow...

Simultaneous Spectrophotometric Determination of Iron, Cobalt and Copper by Partial Least-Squares Calibration Method in Micellar Medium

Iron, cobalt and copper are metals, which appear together in many real samples, both natural and artificial. Recently a classical univariate micellar colorimetric method has been developed for determination of these metal ions. The organized molecular assemblies such as micelles are used in spectroscopic measurements due to their possible effects on the systems of interest. The ability of mi...
